Honor Guard

With great dedication and vigor Assistant Chief George Emery was instrumental in re-establishing Thornton Fire Department's Honor Guard in 2002.  We pride ourselves as being the ambassadors for TFD.  We have participated in civic events, special events, funerals, firefighter requests, and promotional ceremonies, with the approval of the chief.  Also, we have participated in the IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Colorado Springs (pictured above).  We serve our current and retired members with great Honor, Tradition, and Professionalism.  There are currently 15 dedicated members in the Honor Guard.  We practice on a monthly basis, alternating between marching drills and funeral detail.  It is our belief to be ready and prepared for the unthinkable.
